Cardboard Chair

While doing some research I came across an image which got me thinking. There is a motive a humans spine works so well and bends where it has to, therefore narrowing down my thought process. I now had decided to stick to the conventional chair shape or design but attach an exciting twist to it.
Corrugated Board is made from papers madeup from cellulose fibres, which are virgin or recycled. This makes corrugated a renewable natural resource
When asked to design something to sit on, one immediately thinks of a chair like structure, or atleast something that has four legs a seat and a backrest. This was a challenging task and it forced me to analyse what people are sitting on and are they comfortable. Not only would this design have to be ergonomically and anthropometrically correct but it would need to be structurally strong enough to hold a humans weight and look great all at the same time.When designing a seat my first thoughts were: what would look good aesthetically, as all designs would have problems to overcome structurally. I also knew I would have to design something that would be light as cardboard can get very heavy.
